HYDERABAD: Former chief minister Konijeti Rosaiah, who was recently appointed governor of Tamil Nadu, submitted his resignation to his MLC seat on Tuesday which was immediately accepted by Legislative Council chairman A Chakrapani.He will take charge as Tamil Nadu governor on Wednesday at 4.22 pm.Later talking to newsmen, Rosaiah said: “My political life began as a member of the AP Legislative Council and is coincidentally ending here,” Rosaiah remarked nostalgically on the occasion.Replying to a query, the senior Congress leader said that he was ready to withdraw his earlier statement that “Telangana problem would not be resolved through street fights,’’ if people felt it was wrong.Council vice-chairman N Vidyasagar, Opposition leader in the Council Dadi Veerabhadra Rao, senior Congress leader and MLC KR Amos and others were also present.Rosaiah is leaving for Chennai by a special flight from Begumpet airport on Wednesday morning.Besides family members, several of his well-wishers who include MPs, MLAs and MLCs will attend the oath-taking ceremony.
