New Delhi: Talented Indian golfer Gaganjeet Bhullar, who is closing in on earning full European Tour playing rights for next year, feels it's his positive attitude that gives him the mental edge over his rivals on the course.

"I think it is my attitude and the killing instinct you need to have that gives you an edge over your rivals. I just tell myself to stay composed and keep calm on the golf course," Bhullar, currently India's highest ranked player in the Official World Golf Rankings, said.

"I am a cool golfer. I try to keep myself cool, composed and relaxed when I'm on the golf course," he said.

Bhullar, ranked 150, said seeing his name on the leaderboard spurs the 25-year-old and motivates him to do better.

"It psyches me up whenever I see my name on top of the leaderboard. It really gives me the push to go all out to win the tournament," he said.

Bhullar said he regularly works on his short game in order to excel at the international events.

"I practice a lot. I work a lot on my short game on and off the golf course. My ultimate goal is to be a Major winner," he added.
