BANGALORE: After the bomb blast outside the Delhi High Court, high alert was sounded in the city on Wednesday.  Speaking to reporters, City Police Commissioner B G Jyothiprakash Mirji said that  security had been increased at bus, railway stations and airport, where people come in large numbers. “Instructions have been given to all police officials to be alert and they are on vigil round the clock. The police are directed to keep a close watch on suspicious persons and articles,” he said.He also informed that leaves had been cancelled for the police staff. “Patrolling has been intensified by the police . Management of star hotels and  malls have also been asked to step up their security arrangements. All vehicles at the entry and exit points of the city will be thoroughly checked,” he added.Meanwhile, Art of Living Founder Sri Sri Ravishankar has condemned the bomb blast at Delhi. In a statement, the spiritual guru said, “It is a well-planned attack on our judiciary which has systematically brought guilty to book. No one should support the perpetrators of such crimes. The whole nation sympathizes with the families of those bereaved and hurt.”The Members of the Adivakta Parishad Lawyers’ Association staged a protest against the New Delhi bomb last, outside the High Court in the city. Condeming the terrorist attack on the High Court in Delhi, members of the Parishad said, “The government should act strongly against terrorism  and immediate steps should be taken to arrest the terrorist.”“National security is our pledge and we will not tolerate any attack on the judiciary, ” the protesting lawyers added.
