Rally taken out to Kumbalam Toll Plaza

KOCHI: A rally was taken out to the Kumbalam Toll Plaza by the Action Council against the state government’s decision to collect toll at the national highways. Advocate Mathew Vellangadon inaugurated the rally.The action council asked the state government to reconsider its decision of toll collection  at the highways and not be inconsiderate to the people’s needs.The action council stated that the BOT scheme meant for development of the roads is utilising the land of the public and are helping the private companies. State general secretary V Venugopal said the government should not go ahead with the policy to privatise public roads.
