After a delay of about six days, Delhi was on Friday lashed with heavy monsoon rains.
New Delhi: Flight operations at the IGI airport in New Delhi were affected this evening due to the heavy rains that lashed the city. About five flights were diverted to Jaipur between 5.55 PM and 6.15 PM after visibility dropped due to heavy rains accompanied by strong winds, an airport sources said.
The airport area recorded 29.4 mm of rains on Friday evening. The rains also delayed six flights, they said, adding changing wind directions led to piling up of flights.
