THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Retired High Court judge M R Hariharan Nair, inquiring into the Pulmedu tragedy in Sabarimala that claimed the lives of 102 devotees, submitted its interim report to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy here on Monday. The report recommended various measures to prevent such mishaps during the upcoming pilgrimage season at Sabarimala, including controlled pilgrim inflow and necessary arrangements to manage the crowd. The report also has recommendation on parking arrangements. Speaking to reporters, Devaswom Minister V S Sivakumar, who was also present with the Chief Minister, said that the next Cabinet meeting would discuss in detail about the Hariharan Nair Commission report. He said that after discussing it in the Cabinet, a high-level meeting of officials would be convened to carry out the recommendations made in the interim report.
