Pooja Gandhi will play the role of a yesteryear actress in her upcoming Kannada film 'Abhinetri'. But speculations are rife that the film is based on the life of Kannada actress Kalpana and Pooja will apparently play the role of Kalpana in the film.
However, the actress has revealed that she is not playing any particular actress. According to OneIndia, Pooja Gandhi said, "I've never said I am playing Kalpana. My character is an actress from the 50s and 60s, but that does not mean that I am playing one particular actress. This film is a work of fiction, inspired by the lives of actresses of that time. It is our attempt to present the other side of the coin - things that the common audience knew little of."
Pooja is not just playing the lead in the film but the actress is also producing 'Abhinetri'.
