The lead heroines accepting the item dancer is a new development in the industry. Pooja Gandhi and Ragini Dwivedi both enjoying the status of heroines have accepted the item numbers for two different films.
Pooja Gandhi with six years of experience and 30 films to her credit and Ragini Dwivedi with just half a dozen films to her credit have accepted the offer to perform in an item numbers.
Pooja initially rejected the item dancer offers but later she finally agreed on the director Guruprasad’s call. Earlier when 'Devaraane' director Lucky Shanker offered the item number to Pooja, she turned down the offer. After her glamourous role in 'Dhandupalya', such offers are pouring in for Pooja.
'Directors Special' stars Rangayana Raghu in the lead role, Pooja Gandhi is appearing in ‘Kannalle Esht Nekthiya, Sanneli Eshtu Kolthiya’ song. "This is not with much revealing costume but the song explains all" says director Guruprasad.
while Ragini Dwivedi got good popularity in a very short period of her career from her films. She has performed an item number in 'Kalla Malla Sulla', Thuppa Beka Thuppa song that created a rage. Ragini was also coined as Thuppa Girl after this song.
Ragini is now in Bharani Minerals 'Lakshmi' in a song number. Shivarajakumar and Priyamani head the star cast in 'Lakshmi'.
