The members of divisional rail users’ consultative committee meeting of Hyderabad Division, SCRLY on Thursday suggested various reforms, norms for providing better services to the railway passengers at the 50th meeting of DRUCC held at Hyderabad Bhavan, Secunderabad under the chairmanship of divisional railway manager, Hyderabad division, Rakesh Aron,.
The members came up with various suggestions like introduction of new trains, stoppages for long distance trains at stations, increasing frequency of the existing popular trains, provision of additional shifts in passenger reservation counters (PRS), improving of station buildings, circulating area and concourse.
During the meeting, the members have also requested for the relocation of booking offices, security to passengers and relocation of coaches earmarked for differently- abled and also providing more amenities for those with physical disabilities.
The chairman assured the members that necessary action will be initiated based on their suggestions.
Rakesh Aron in his address highlighted the performance of the Hyderabad division during the current year and explained various steps taken to improve commuter services.
