THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The platinum jubilee celebrations of the temple entry proclamation organised by the Hindu Aikyavedi will be inaugurated by Uthradom Thirunal Marthanda Varma on November 12 at the Ananthasayanam Kalyana Mandapam here. Following that, Kanchi Kamakodi seer Sankaracharya Jayendra Saraswathy will inaugurate the State Hindu Representative meeting, which will give a final touch to the programmes of the year-long celebrations of the proclamation. Subject presentations on various topics will be held then.
Presentations on an action plan to acquire the rights of the poor, landless and the oppressed classes and on the Ranganatha Mishra Commission report will be made my AKPMS general secretary M K Vasudevan. J Nandakumar will make a presentation on the Bill related to communal riots and Brahmachari Bhargava Ram will expound on the future of temples.
M K Kunjol, president of All-India Harijan Samajam, P K Bhaskaran, president of All-India Adivasi Federation, S Renjith, assistant secretary of SNDP Yogam, T N Upendranatha Kurup, president of Hindu Mahamandalam, Cherukolpuzha, N K Neelakandan, general secretary of KPMS and Kalidasa Bhattathiri, president of Yoga Kshema Sabha, will speak.
The Hindu Swabhiman Sammelan to begin at the Gandhi Park at 5.30 pm will also be inaugurated by Swami Jayendra Saraswathy. P K Bhaskaran, president of National Adivasi Federation, will preside over.
