MYSORE: Pejawar seer Vishwesha Theertha was accorded a warm welcome by the district administration in Mysore on Tuesday evening.Medical Education Minister S A Ramadas, MLC Siddaraju, Mayor Pushpalatha T B Chikkanna, Deputy Mayor Ravikumar and MCC Commissioner K S Raykar received the seer at the tollgate entrance of Mysore, by offering fruits and flowers.The seer said that it is a privilege for him to pray to Goddess Chamundeshwari and offer pooja. Though there have been no complaints of endemic diseases like H1N1 in the city, the Health Department is getting ready to face any eventuality during the festivities and will deploy 14 emergency response teams at all major event sites from September 28.Each team will comprise a doctor, nurse and a Group-D employee along with an ambulance and emergency equipment. The teams will be deployed at Mysore Palace, Bannimantap, procession route, Exhibition Ground, Nanjaraja Bahadur Choultry, Jagan Mohan Palace, Maharaja College Ground, Chamundi Hills, Chamundi Vihar Stadium and other places.“This apart, 108 ambulances will also be a part of emergency services,” DHO Dr S M Malegowda added.
