HYDERABAD: The Central Crime Station police on Tuesday produced the four passport employees, who were arrested in a fake passports case, in a local court which remanded them in judicial custody. The CCS police on Monday night arrested three employees of the Regional Passport Office (RPO) at Secunderabad and one of the Passport Seva Kendra at Ameerpet in connection with issuance of passports by accepting fake identification proofs from candidates.  According to DCP  (crime) PJ Victor, the accused were identified as Jambla Karunaker and Subodh Kumar (both UDCs) and Narla Sivaram Prasad alias NSR Prasad (LDC) of the RPO;  and K David (LDC) of the Passport Seva  Kendra.  “On August 4, 2011, police arrested a gang of passport agents G Ramachander and Mohammed Yousufuddin, and Qamaruddin alias Kamaal, Mohammed Zakir Hussain, Mirza Amjad Baig, Mohammed Ali and Syed Abdul Aziz. who were involved in preparation of fake voter ID cards and ration cards to help people obtain passports under the Tatkal Scheme,’’ the DCP said.
