Pandiarajan Murder:Inspector suspended

MADURAI: A police inspector was suspended here on Friday for dereliction of duty in a murder case, in which DMK executive committee member ‘Pottu’ Suresh has been named as the prime accused.Ramasubbu was serving as the Inspector of Avaniyapuram police station when the murder of Pandiarajan was reported as a hit-and-run on April 16, 2009. Investigations revealed several loopholes and misjudgments in the investigation process, which had resulted in the case petering out in course of time.
