If one commits a crime, one has to receive punishment,” he said and demanded scrapping of the GOs which gave concessions to the promoters of VANPIC.CPI state secretary K Narayana said that had YS Rajasekhara Reddy been alive, he would have died now on coming to know of the dimensions of the scams that were being uncovered. It was unfortunate that a minister was arrested on corruption charges, he said and asserted that the Congress government had no moral right to remain in office. CPM state secretary BV Raghavulu said the arrest of Venkataramana made one wonder why only he was arrested and not the five others who had received notices from the Supreme Court.
