Orientation training for athletes

CHENNAI: Elite Football League of India (EFLI) announced the launch of its orientation programme for athletes across Jaipur, Jalandhar, Chennai and Bangalore. The orientation programmes held by EFLI play a dual role. First, they aim at training athletes on and about the game and simultaneously gives them opportunities of employment thereby motivating them to take up American football as a full time career option. Richard Whelan, CEO, EFLI, said, “I’m overwhelmed and excited by the expected turnout of more than 5000 candidates. I am so pleased to sign on so many of India’s elite athletes. It feels great to see such gifted athletes who travel from far away places to be a part of this new initiative.”
