BANGALORE: The Lokayukta court today reserved its orders till tomorrow on the admissibility of a fresh private complaint against ex-Karnataka chief minister B S Yeddyurappa, Housing Minister V Somanna and two others alleging irregularities in denotification of government land. When the complaint filed by software engineer Ravi Krishnareddy came up for hearing, Lokayukta judge N K Sudhindra Rao said he would pass orders tomorrow on its admissibility.Earlier, the judge asked the complainant whether he had any "hidden agenda" in filing the complaint and why he approached the court directly without complaining to Lokayukta police. The complainant has alleged that Yeddyurappa denotified 22 guntas (one gunta is about 1,086 sq ft) of land in Nagadevanahalli in 2009 to an education trust owned by Somanna's wife Shailaja in violation of rules. The said land had already been acquired by the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) in 1998, he submitted. The building constructed by the education trust is an "illegal" building, as it had not been accorded permission for construction by the competent authorities, it stated.Shailaja and Lingaraju, erstwhile owner of the land, are the two other accused named in the complaint. The court is already hearing five other private complaints filed by city advocate Sirajin Basha against Yeddyurappa levelling similar charges of irregularities in denotification of land.Yeddyurappa was remanded to judicial custody by judge Rao in two private complaints filed by Basha, but he has secured bail in the cases and anticipatory bail in two others. The bail process in the fifth complaint is yet to begin. The court adjourned further hearing on the fourth and fifth private complaints filed by Basha to November 30.
