OKUP: Balayya makes a political statement
Balakrishna was in Chennai as part of the publicity for the film 'Oo Kodatara Ulikki Padatara'.

Seeing a proud Telugu man like Balakrishna to go to Tamil Nadu and speak fluently in Tamil, saying that he likes Tamil Nadu a lot, and Chennai is like his second home, would be a pleasant sight any day. He did just that yesterday when he interacted with scribes in Chennai. He was in that city as part of the publicity for 'Oo Kodatara Ulikki Padatara' Tamil cousin of 'Varuvan Thalaivan'. He used the opportunity to reiterate his political plans.

"I love Tamil Nadu a lot. Chennai is like a second home for me. Right from my father's (the late NTR) days, we have had close connections with this city. I am happy that my straight Tamil film is getting ready to be released in Tamil," he said.

Saying that it had been long overdue to act in a Tamil movie, Balakrishna recalled that many of his films were dubbed into Tamil. He also announced that he would jump into active politics and announce his political plans soon.
