CHENNAI: As India witnesses a growth in the use of smart phones, a workforce assessment services firm is trying to tap the technology by offering innovative solutions to employers and employees to bridge the communication gap and enhance productivity.Chief executive officer of AssesssPeople R Kannan and service delivery head Satish Salivati said the company, which is one of the first to adopt Internet technologies to deliver scientifically validated workforce assessment services to individuals and business enterprises, had launched QuickSurvey, a unique mobile or tablet access service for companies, and CareerSmart, a centre for job seekers.Kannan said that as India would be among the top five markets for smart phone shipments by 2016, QuickSurvey would be an ideal platform to connect stakeholders, including employees and consumers. “It will cater to the customised needs of corporates from various industries, making sure the stakeholders are in constant contact,” he said.Kannan said the product was easy to configure and deploy and is custom-made for each client. He spoke about the easy use of survey options present in the product. “Since real-time feedback is the buzzword in the Internet era, organisations that are in constant touch with their stakeholders are more likely to succeed than those who believe in responding to crisis calls,” he said. “By efficeintly gathering feedback, analysing it and acting on it in a meaningful way, people can increase an organisation’s success and strengthen relationships with different stakeholders,” Kannan said. The company also launched a CareerSmart centre for job seekers which assesses English language usage, cognitive abilities and basic computer skills and prepares candidates for interviews.
