THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In the controversial ‘munduriyal’ case, which had brought into public the ugly face of the group war in the Congress Party eight years ago, Congress leader Rajmohan Unnithan, the second witness in the case, has identified all the accused produced in the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court here on Tuesday.Last week, Congress leader Sarathchandra Prasad, the first witness in the case, had turned hostile as he failed to identify the accused in the same court. The chances of an out-of-court settlement, where most of the witnesses and accused are either leaders or workers of the party, has became bleak as Unnithan identifed eleven accused out of the thirty in the case.Unnithan said at the court that there was a big conspiracy in the case as there was no previous history of any rivalry between the accused and himself. He also said that Vandannoor Santhosh, the fourth accused, was not part of the gang which attacked him. The court declared Chempazhanthy Anil, another congress leader and fourth witness, also as hostile.Sarathchandra Prasad and Rajmohan Unnithan, were attacked and disrobed on May 3, 2004, when they reached the premises of Priyadarsini planetarium, here, where the KPCC executive committee was in progress. The court will consider the case on March 23.
