PARADIP: Miscreants hurled bombs at a contractor at Raghunathpur railway station on Saturday night injuring three persons.A railway contractor, Adhikarmohan Hota, was awarded tender to repair railway tracks and carry out other renovation works at the station. Sources said the miscreants had demanded ` 1 lakh from him a few days back and threatened him of dire consequences if he failed to do so. However, as Hota ignored the demand, five miscreants reached the railway station and asked him to stop the work. This led to an argument between the contractor, his workers present at the spot and the miscreants who then threw bombs at the workers’ camp and a cycle shed at the railway station. Three labourers, who belong to West Bengal, sustained injuries.DSP of GRP Trinath Mishra said a case has been registered and hoped to nab the miscreants soon.
