BANGALORE: Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) celebrated the 120th birth anniversary of the architect of Indian Constitution Dr B R Ambedkar and felicitated students belonging to SC and ST communities with gold medals and certificates who scored distinction in SSLC and PUC examinations at Silver Jubilee building here on Wednesday.Speaking after inaugurating the function Chiranjeevi Singh, a retired IAS officer, said: "I feel Dr B R Ambedkar is the teacher or guide not only one community or one religion, he is a guide to the entire humanity. He taught the society that cultivation of intellect comes through education and and thinking and freedom of mind is proof of one's existence and where mind is without fear it can achieve anything. We are not going in the way which Ambedkar showed us or have any principles in life," he said.Addressing the staff, KPCL MD Yogendra Tripathi said: "Our ultimate aim is to supply power or electricity and we should do this effectively, work hard for the betterment of your family and the state."The KPCL felicitated nine students belongon to scheduled caste and tribe communities with gold medals and certificates.
