New Delhi: Bhim Singh denied media reports that he had seen Natwar Singh's name in any document related to the Oil-for-Food scam in Baghdad.

Panthers Party Chief Bhim Singh on Thursday said he saw the External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh's name in the list of beneficiaries receiving kickbacks in the Oil-for-Food transactions in Iraq on a website last year.

On the authenticity of the Volcker Committee report in which his name featured along with the minister and others, he said the report was correct but stressed that it was aimed at framing Saddam Hussain.

Bhim Singh said the media had misquoted him with regard to other beneficiaries especially Natwar Singh.

Bhim Singh said he had seen Natwar Singh?s name while looking for his own name on the Volcker report website.

He further added that Natwar Singh need not resign as there was "no illegality in receiving commission." But Bhim Singh had refused commission because "his conscience did not allow" him to do so.

Saddam Hussain had nothing to do with the contracts and the transactions were conducted under the United Nations Monitoring Committee, Singh added.
