BANGALORE: An accused lover, who had stabbed a 20-year-old student of Sri Mahadeshwara Government College in Kollegala of Chamarajanagar, was found dead on railway track near Kengeri on Saturday.The accused Venkatesh (26), a native of Kanakapura, was working in a marriage hall in Kanakapura and had met Anusha at the Male Mahadeshwara temple. There they had exchanged phone numbers and had become friends. Eventually, they were said to be in courtship, the police said. Venkatesh had asked Anusha to meet him at the college on Wednesday. The duo had gone to a temple, where he allegedly stabbed her after she refused to marry him.The police were on a look out for him since then.According to the police, Venkatesh was later found dead on a railway track and they suspect that he committed suicide by coming under a moving train. However, the police have not ruled out the possibility of foul play behind the incident.Later, the body was shifted to Victoria Hospital mortuary.
