Maharashtra to involve students in cleanliness drive: Vinod Tawde
"Students are ambassadors of the cleanliness campaign," Maharashtra Education Minister Vinod Tawde said.

Mumbai: The Maharashtra government plans to involve students to implement the state's cleanliness drive, Education Minister Vinod Tawde said on Friday. He was speaking after launching the cleanliness drive of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's education department as part of the 'Swachchata Abhiyan' campaign, along with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

"Students are ambassadors of the cleanliness campaign," the minister said, expressing confidence that Maharashtra would be in the forefront of implementing the cleanliness drive in the country.

Fadnavis and Tawde also interacted with municipal school students who were administered a pledge of cleanliness. Fadnavis, who also took up a broom to clean the garbage, said that it was imperative that there is no dirt and trash for effective implementation of the campaign.
