The person will have to give passport number to embassy, local address is not enough, said the Madras High Court bench.
Chennai: While responding to a plea seeking easy repatriation for any person employed in Saudi Arabia who approaches the embassy there, the bench of CJ RK Aggarwal said they cannot give blanket direction that any Tamilian who approaches the Indian Embassy should be given free passage from Saudi Arabia.
The person will have to give passport number to embassy, local address is not enough, said the Madras High Court bench.
"Otherwise Pakistanis, Bangladeshis or anyone else can approach the embassy saying I am an Indian and ask to be repatriated," the bench said.
