New Delhi: At a time when people from all walks of life are trying their luck in the Lok Sabha elections, TV actor Anupam Shyam Ojha too has thrown his hat into the ring. Famously known as Thakur Sajjan Singh of TV serial 'Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya', Ojha is seeking a Bharatiya Janata Party ticket.
Ojha, who has worked in over 40 films, had expressed willingness to contest either from Allahabad or Pratapgarh. The party, however, gave the Allahabad ticket to Shyama Charan Gupta. Ojha said he will contest from wherever the party asks him to.
Inspired by party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's 'Chai pa Charcha', Ojha has held discussions at betel shops.
"If I won election, I will work for students and poor people and will fight against corruption," he said.
