Malappuram: A low-intensity blast took place at Malappuram District Collectorate in Kerala on Tuesday.
No one has been injured or killed in the explosion, sources in the police department said.
Preliminary inquiry revealed that the blast took place around 1 pm between two parked cars. The other vehicles parked close to the spot were also damaged.
Soon after the incident District Collector A. Shainamol, along with the local police and Fire and Rescue Services personnel, rushed to the spot.
A box bearing a tag - The Base Movement - has been recovered from the spot.
Sources said, a letter and a pendrive have been recovered from box, which reportedly mentioned the Dadri incident in Uttar Pradesh and atrocities on minority community in the state.
The area has been cordoned off.
