LBSITW colleges decennial fete from Tuesday

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The LBS Institute of Technology for Women, Poojappura (LBSITW) will organise a one-year-long decennial celebrations of the college, the first women’s engineering college in the State.Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the celebrations on August 2 on the college campus.Education Minister P K Abdu Rabb will preside over the function.B Tech rank holders from the college will be awarded the gold medal constituted by PTA of the LBSITW. The theme of the celebrations is ‘Synergistic approach through women education technology and ecological protection for progressive social reformation.’The celebration programme includes seminars on advances and challenges in emerging technologies, workshop on robotics, national seminar on applied mathematics and intercollegiate tech-nical and arts competitions.
