BANGALORE: Express bus services of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) from Bangalore to Hyderabad, Tirupati, Raichur and Mantralaya, will shift back to Kempegowda Bus Station (KBS) from February 1. A month ago, KSRTC had shifted all its services from KBS to Shanthinagar citing congestion because of ongoing Metro work at KBS.“We were unable to handle the extra departures from Shantinagar. Hence we have shifted back to KBS,” said a senior KSRTC official. Around 120 buses from KSRTC’s express service will move back to KBS along with APSRTC services which were also shifted to Shantinagar. However, premium services like Multi Axle Volvo, Volvo, Sleeper, Rajahamsa will continue to operate from Shantinagar. Passengers, however, were miffed with the KBS as there is little space left for commuters to park vehicles. “At least Shantinagar had parking space in the TTMC. Vehicles cannot be parked in the Railway Station. They should have remained with the earlier,” said Tejas, a commuter.
