Kothuval road merchants feel cheated

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The merchants of Chalai-Kothuval road have expressed their discontent over the unfulfilled promise of Transport Minister V Sivakumar regarding the tarring of the dilapidated Chalai-Kothuval road. In a press release issued here on Tuesday, the merchants said that the Minister had promised that the road would be included in the one-time improvement upgradation scheme and tarring works would be begun within 15 days. However, even after 20 days, even the basic works of tarring have not begun. The merchants had hoped that the tarring would be completed before Onam.
