Koneru files petition for better medicare

HYDERABAD: Koneru Prasad, the key accused in the Emaar scam, filed a fresh petition in the special CBI court on Wednesday seeking better medical facilities.Later, the court posted the hearing in the petition to January 23.Prasad, who is currently lodged in the Chanchalguda Central Prison, stated in his petition that he has been suffering from severe back pain for the past three days and the prison authorities could not provide him proper medical facilities.He pleaded the magistrate to shift him to a super specialty hospital for better medical treatment.Earlier, Prasad’s bail petition was dismissed by the special CBI court.He cited ill health as the reason in the bail petition.Prasad was arrested in the Emaar case on November 3 last year
