THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The five-member Expert Committee, appointed by the SC, to assess the value of the treasure found from the chambers of the Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple, will apprise the  Supreme Court about its initial findings next week.The Committee, headed  by C V Anandabose, VC, National Museum Institute, visited the temple on Thursdayalong with the senior police officials, headed by DGP Jacob Punnoose, to ascertain the security measures put in place by the state police.The senior police officials included ADGP Venugopal K Nair, IG Padmakumar and City Police Commissioner Manoj Abraham. The police team discussed in detail with the Committee about the arrangements that has been planned to beef up the security of the temple.Vikas Sharma of the RBIhas been entrusted with the job of analysing the security of the temple treasure.The next meeting of the Committee, to be held on August 22, will discuss matters such as opening of ‘B’ vault and when should the evaluation of the treasure be carried out.In the meeting held here on Thursday, the Committee had discussed about documentation, storage, retrieval, security and safety other than deciding on  setting up of the museum, where the treasure with historic and antique value can be kept. It is learnt that the minutes of the meeting would also be presented  to the Supreme Court.The Committee comprises M V Nair, Archeological Department, V K Harikumar, Executive Officer of the temple, B V Raja, Archeological Survey of India and Vikas Sharma, RBI, as members.
