Kerala school asks girls and boys to maintain 1 metre distance
The senior students of the school have been asked to avoid friendships with juniors.

In a bizarre news, a school in Kerala's Kottayam district has asked boys and girls to maintain one metre distance in the school premises.

Pallikoodam school was founded by Mary Roy, author and social activist Arundhati Roy's mother. In its separate section in the general notes that was given in March, 2015 it speaks about healthy relationship between girls and boys.

The senior students of the school have been asked to avoid friendships with juniors.

The rule may be relaxed according to activities like theatre, coir etc and the students will participate in all activities as equals. The principal of the school refused to comment on the matter.
