NEW DELHI: The report of the Karnataka Lokayukta, which strongly indicted Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and recommended his prosecution under the anti- corruption law, has been received by the Union Home Ministry.A copy of the report was sent by Governor H R Bhardwaj and received by the Home Ministry this evening, official sources said.Strongly indicting Yeddyurappa over payment of about Rs 30 crore kickbacks by a mining firm to a trust run by his family, Lokayukta Santosh Hegde recommended his prosecution under the anti-corruption law.The Lokayukta also indicted mining barons and ministers Reddy brothers, their associate H Sriramulu who is a minister, former Chief Minister and JDS leader H D Kumaraswamy and several officials and recommended their prosecution under Prevention of Corruption Act (PCA) and other laws.Hegde concluded that the state has suffered a loss of Rs 16,085 crore during 2006-10 due to "illegalities and irregularities" in mining in the state.
