NORKA-Roots Director and UAE-based Malayali businessman Ismail Rawther has been selected for the Karmasree Award instituted by the Kerala Cultural Association in Swansea, United Kingdom.
The award which includes a cash prize of Rs 1,11 ,111 and a certificate, will be presented at a function to be held in the UK on August 29, said Xavier Vithayathil, secretary of Kerala Cultural Association. NRKs, who have made remarkable contribution to society, are considered for the award.
Hailing from Ayavana near Muvattupuzha, Rawther is the managing director of UAE-based Fine Fair Group.
