The fascination for remakes is very strong compared to getting good original subjects among some of the Kannada film producers.
Now the 2010 Tamil film 'Paiya' starring Karthi and Tamanna is remade in Kannada by well known director Mahesh Babu who has given many super hits like 'Akash and Arasu'.
In the movie along with Kannada actor Ajith, Nikky Galrani is also making a debut with Chiranjeevi Sarja.
For Chiranjeevi Sarja it is a launch of new film a day before the release of his film 'Varadanayaka' and that also happens to be a remake of Telugu film 'Lakshyam'.
Talking more about the film the actor confirms, "I am not becoming habitual to remakes. The offers are coming like that. I have heard many original stories but they were not so convincing".
while his younger brother Dhruv Sarja picks his second film after 'Addhuri' which was a super hit. Dhruv's second film 'Bahaddur' is also said to be based on an original subject.
Talking more about Mahesh Babu's film the actor states that the portrayal of the role of the protagonist is what impressed Chiranjeevi Sarja to accept this film.

Also, producers Prem of Mahaveen theatre, Naveen and Harish paid Rs.15 lakhs for 'Paiya' in order to acquire the remake rights.
