Jupally meets Speaker, firm on quitting

HYDERABAD:  Former Congress minister and Kollapur MLA Jupally Krishna Rao, who recently joined TRS, met Assembly speaker N Manohar on Tuesday to press for his resignation.“I told him that I am firm on my decision to resign. It is for the speaker now to take a decision,” he told reporters after the meeting.Rao said this was the right time for all T public representatives to build pressure on the Centre on Telangana issue. He said all the elected Telangana representatives should submit their resignations afresh.The former minister demanded that after Uttar Pradesh Assembly resolution on state division, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and AICC president Sonia Gandhi should initiate steps for a separate Telangana state.
