Jubilant mood takes over freedom park

BANGALORE: “Jeet gaya bhai jeet gaya, aam admi jeet gaya” was the slogan that echoed at the Freedom Park after supporters of Anna Hazare received news that both houses of the Parliament had passed a resolution, conveying the ‘Sense of the House’ on the Lokpal Bill paving the way for Anna Hazare to break his fast.As Anna Hazare’s fast completed its 12th day on Saturday, the night was not like any other at Freedom Park.Happy cries of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ and enthusiastic slogans such as ‘Jab tak suraj chand rahega, Anna tera naam rahega’, ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Inquilab Zindabad’ were heard.Supporters of Anna were seen waving the tricolour and pictures of Anna and dancing to patriotic songs.Gagan, a supporter of Anna Hazare said, “We received a message that both houses of Parliament passed a resolution conveying the ‘Sense of the House’ on the Lokpal Bill and a message that Anna is going to break his fast tomorrow.We are not stopping.We will fight till the end, and all those who are on indefinite hunger strike in support of Anna Hazare, will break their fast when Anna breaks his fast.”
