Srinagar: An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in Pulwama district of Kashmir on Tuesday, police said.
The gunbattle erupted after security forces cordoned off Dogripora village following a tip-off about presence of terrorists and launched a search operation, a police officer said.
As the forces were conducting searches in the area, terrorists fired at them, triggering an encounter, he said.
