JC stalls water to Singanamala

ANANTAPUR: The release of Tadipatri Branch Canal (TBC) water to Putluru tank in Singanamala constituency before being released for irrigation purpose in Tadipatri area, has become a bone of contention between minister Sailajanath and former minister JC Diwakar Reddy.Diwakar Reddy, who hurriedly reached Tadipatri from Hyderabad on Monday night, led the farmers on Tuesday in removing the earthen bund put up by the authorities to block the supply of water from the TBC to distributaries 1 to 4 for releasing water to distributaries 5 and 6 which supply water to Singanamala. He flayed Sailajanath for deviating from the practice of releasing water first to Tadipatri area.
