Mumbai: In a major development in the Sheena Bora murder case, her mother, Indrani Mukherjea's former brother-in-law Shantanu Das claimed that Sheena was his brother Siddartha Das's daughter .
He said, "Sheena is my brother Siddartha Das' daughter with Indrani Mukherjea. Yes, I met Sheena and Indrani around 1989 when Sheena was 6 months old. I have not met Mikhail."
"My family lost touch with my brother Siddarth in the last 8-10 years. My mother is unwell and has not taken well to the news," Shantanu added.
Meanwhile, police on Sunday seized a suitcase that was purportedly meant for packing the body of Sheena's brother Mikhail Bora whom Indrani had allegedly planned to kill. The accused were also taken to Raigad to re-create the crime scene at the same spot where Sheena's body was allegedly dumped.
The new twist in the probe came when Mikhail claimed that his mother Indrani had planned to kill him also on April 23, 2012, when she had given him a spiked drink.
