Indians disappointed in cycling track events with all of them crashing out in the opening round.

Guangzhou: Indians disappointed in cycling track events with all of them crashing out in the opening round itself on the first day of the competition in the Asian Games here on Saturday.

In women's 5000m time trials final, Mahita Mohan finished last among 10 cyclists with the fastest speed of 45.899 km/hr.

She completed the 500m distance in 39.216.

Lee Wai Sze of Hong Kong won the gold with a speed of 53.026 km/hr as she completed the 500m distance in 33.945.

In men's team sprint event, the Indian trio of Okram Bikram Singh, Hylem Prince and Amrit Singh finished sixth in a seven-team field in a fastest speed of 53.658 km/hr in three laps.

Fastest two teams race for gold and third and fourth teams race for bronze.

Yanglem Sunita Devi and Konsam Suchitra Devi failed to qualify for the next round in Women's Individual Pursuit event.

Sunita and Suchitra finished 14th and 15th among 16 cyclists with the fastest timings of 42.855 km/hr and 42.471 km/hr completing the 3000m distance in 4:12.008 and 4:14.287 respectively.

Fan Jiang of China was the fastest with a speed of 49.655 km/hr, completing the 3000m distance at 3:37.497.

The fastest eight riders qualify for the next round.

In men's individual Pursuit, Sombir and Rajender Kumar Bishnoi also failed to qualify for the next round finishing 20th and 22nd out of 25 cyclists.

Sombir produced fastest speed of 48.364 km/hr while Bishnoi had 47.911 km/hr, completing the 4000m distance in 4:57.740 and 5:00.557 respectively.

Sunjae Jang of South Korea was the fastest with a new Asian record of 53.732 completing the 4000m distance in 4:27.992.
