"Acting on a tip off, the Assam Rifles jawans (troopers) launched a combing operation on Friday night and spoted the illegal gun factory at a jungle at Raishabari in northern Tripura. The security personnel arrested three people while the others managed to flee," a police spokesman told reporters.
Police suspect that the arrested people might have associated with a militant outfit and making the firearms for the extremists. The three are being interrogated.
