Panaji: It feels awesome as you spot huge cut-outs of Rajinikanth dotting alongside the Mandovi river. Before you start interpreting this as a strategy to promote his upcoming films, allow us to explain you the reason. Since the megastar is hosting annual International Film Festival of India on November 20, cut outs have been installed to give the viewers an insight into the event.
Rajinikanth, 63, will arrive in his chartered plane to be part of the IIFI's inaugural function which takes place on November 20, Shankar Mohan, director, Film Festival had confirmed earlier.
Rajinikanth, who has achieved huge success in Bollywood and southern film industry, will be honoured with the Special Centenary Award by Amitabh Bachchan.
Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan will be the special guest for the inauguration ceremony that would be held at Dr Shama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium near Panaji.
The inauguration ceremony of IFFI, which will be compered by Anupam Kher and Raveena Tandon, will also see the presence of Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Arun Jaitley, Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and Union MoS for I&B Rajyavardhan Rathore.
