KANNUR: CMP leader M V Raghavan, who was expelled from the CPM more than two decades ago, has disputed the claim made by the CPM leaders that he had never been physically attacked by its workers after he left the party.MVR told mediapersons here on Monday that he hadn’t quit the CPM on his own, but it was the party leadership that ousted him. The claim made by the CPM leadership that the party had never attacked him is far from true, said MVR and added that his house and library had been set afire by the CPM. He had never been left free by the CPM ever since he was expelled. The credibility of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy would be in jeopardy if the investigation into the murder of T P Chandrasekharan failed to nab the real culprits, said. He alleged that the murder was done with the knowledge of the state leadership of the CPM.Referring to the speech made by CPM Idukki district secretary M M Mani and the controversy triggered by his disclosures relating to the murders committed by the CPM, MVR said that CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan was now trying to save his party and M M Mani by disowning the statement of the latter.
