New Delhi: HTC, which manufactured the first Nexus smartphone for Google, has once again joined hands with the company to produce another Nexus device, but this time it's for a tablet.
According to a report from DigiTimes, Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC is working in joint collaboration with Google to manufacture the next-gen Nexus 8 tablet. The tablet is expected to be released in the third quarter of this year, says the report.
Google worked with Asus for the first two generations of Nexus 7, but the company reportedly is mulling over opting for a new design and therefore has switched to HTC.
Before joining hands with Asus for the first-generation Nexus 7, Google reportedly approached HTC for a partnership, but was refused as HTC was busy pushing its smartphone business back then.
