Hold Chitra Santhe for 3 days

BANGALORE: Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa has assured to support the artist fraternity and suggested that the Chitra Santhe should be a three-day event.Speaking at the inauguration of Artist Convention Block in Chitra Kala Parishath (CKP), he advised that CKP to complete the pending works on Chitrakala Mahavaidyalaya or Arts University.An amount of `5 crore has been released by the government for the university campus that is being constructed on 14 acre land at Ganakal, he said.“It is the duty of the government in a democratic set up to promote arts and culture and conserve the rich heritage,” the chief minister said and added that the same was earlier done by Monarchs.
