CHENNAI: The Board of Valparaiso Foundation of Spanish Ministry has selected Chennai-based artist, M Ramalingam, for their Residency of Artist programme. The artist can stay at foundation from September 5 to September 30 and work on his paintings. Ramalingam will be the first hearing-impaired artist to be selected for this programme and the Ministry of External Affairs has awarded him the travel grant. Ramalingam has conducted art exhibitions throughout the country and abroad including Brazil, the US, UK, South Korea and Japan, and been awarded several fellowships.
