HYDERABAD: If Telangana Congress leaders return from Delhi without a categorical assurance on Telangana from central leaders, they should drive straight to the Assembly speaker’s office and submit their resignations, Telugu Desam senior leader Motkupalli Narasimhulu has demanded.Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, Narasimhulu said it was TDP MLAs who had resigned first on July 4 and Congress legislators only followed suit. All MLAs from the Telangana region should gather at one place and proceed to the speaker’s office to resubmit resignations, he suggested. ‘The resignations should create constitutional crisis and not cause just another round of by-elections.This time, ruling Congress MLAs should take the lead and resign first.” Narasimhulu cautioned the Congress MPs and MLAs not to yield to Congress high command’s cajoling. If the Congress leaders succumbed to the high command, they would face the wrath of the people, he warned.‘The Congress leaders should prevail upon the high command and come back with a clear assurance on formation of Telangana state. It is the ruling party which has to take a decision and it is not right to target TDP. Is the Centre taking all its decisions in consultation with the TDP?” he asked. On the Union cabinet approving the draft Lokpal Bill, Narasimhulu said that the prime minister too should come within the ambit of Lokpal. ``The Congress is synonymous with corruption and has failed to bring back the black money stashed in banks abroad,’’ he alleged.Another leader, Vem Narender Reddy, recalled TDP’s announcement of its stand on Telangana much before December 2009. TDP was committed to its Mahanadu resolution and there was no deviation, he asserted.
