BANGALORE: State JD (S) president H D Kumaraswamy has stoutly denied that he went to Parappana Agrahara Central Jail to meet former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa on Saturday.Acording to Kumaraswamy, he went to central jail to meet Dr H N Krishna, former chairman of the KPSC, who has been remanded under judicial custody.“He has been our family friend for long. I went to meet him and express our moral solidarity. Reports that I went to meet former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa are totally wrong. I am shocked by the capacity of the media for their imagination,” Kumaraswamy detailed. He further said that as many as 150 prisoners met him and requested him to persuade the government for the early release of some prisoners on humanitarian and good behaviour grounds as was done in the past.“Ever since the BJP government came to power, not a single prisoner has been released on grounds of good behaviour during occasions such as Independence Day,” the former chief minister added.
